Notes : Hipped one end, modern extension at other end, 14inch coat of straw sparred using hidden scolb method. Extensive rebuilding of eaves and ridge. This is a modern family home and is the only thatch left in the village. Bobbins complete the ridge.

Notes : Straight Gables, course fletched in and sparred where neccessary. Extensive repairs required where the back of the house is overshadowed by other buildings. Ridge rolls used extensively to bring the ridge into pitch. Bobbins completed the ridge.

Notes : This premises on the the main street in Kingscourt, Co.Cavan is a licensed premises.Originally straw thatched, a new roof had to be constructed as the old roof had become dangerous. Main coat was 16 inches. Block ridge, screw fixings hold on the thatch.

Notes : This building when inspected by the Heritage Council received immediate funding. Mud construction, possibly 16thor 17thcentury. Major patching repairs needed before main thatch applied. Size is 125 metre², hipped both ends, the main coat was 10 inches. Entire ridge was completed with bobbins. Thruss/Fletch style thatching.
